Story

In the heart of the United Kingdom, a special operation unfolds every Christmas. An operation that brings smiles to the faces of children and warmth to the hearts of families. This is the story of the UK Operation Christmas, a project dedicated to alleviating child poverty by spreading the joy of the festive season to those who need it most.

Launched in 2017, Operation Christmas began with a simple yet powerful mission: to provide Christmas food hampers to children who rely on free school meals. Each hamper, filled with basic food items and a special Christmas gift, is a beacon of hope and joy for these children and their families.

Over the years, we have steadily increased our reach. From supporting 50 families in our inaugural year, we extended our help to 100 families in 2018, 150 families in 2019, 300 families in 2022.

This year, 2023, we are setting our sights even higher. We aim to bring Christmas cheer to 400 families. This ambitious goal is driven by our commitment to combat child poverty and ensure that every child can experience the joy and warmth of the festive season.
